Maine Endwell Guard L’Amoreux On The Rise

After a monstrous freshman season in which she collected multiple double doubles, Maine-Endwell Class of 2023 guard Kaitlyn L’Amoreux is thrust into a prominent role as a veteran and high scoring sophomore. She has rapidly evolved as a knockdown shooter, capable of reeling off runs and game-altering spurts once she gets red hot.

She had a 30-point, 10-rebound game as a freshman, a performance that proved she could take game breaking scoring matters into her own hands.

A gritty rebounder as a 5-foot-7 combination guard, the well rounded sophomore averaged 14.5 points, 8.8 boards, and 5.1 assists playing for the NY Hoopers on the AAU circuit. A high adrenaline, high octane guard who routinely plays with a sense of passion and purpose, L’Amoreux is also a multi layered defender.

“She’s a leader and wants to win,” Hoopers AAU coach Dan Melious explained.

“The best way to describe Kaity is the Russell Westbrook analogy. That energy and fierceness and her competitiveness is all Westbrook.”

During her play at Spooky Nook this summer, she showed her ability to hit timely shots but also engineer and offense and create stops defensively. The upstate New York native was a revelation as a constant double double threat at Maine Endwell last season, averaging 19 points to go with 11 rebounds and four assists.

L’Amoreux brings scoring creativity and a craftiness at finishing around the rim with either hand, aspects which were evident at the aforementioned Spooky Nook event.

She currrently holds offers from Vermont, Binghamton, and has interest from several MAAC and A-10 programs as well.
