Reed’s Evolution Continues

Following a memorable high school career in which he established himself as one of the most formidable gunslingers in Oklahoma, Camryn Reed continues to develop and refine aspects of his all around game.

Reed relished his role as a 3-point ace capable of heating up in a hurry and rattling off points with his ability to shoot. During the last few months, he has worked at establishing himself as a two-way player.

With his length and defensive versatility he has grown incrementally in that component of his game. Once the 6-foot-2 perimeter presence on which Ada HS (OK) leaned for his clutch characteristics, Reed has added muscle to once spindly frame while diversifying his scoring package.

He has been effective in pick and roll action and snaking his way along the baseline, finishing it ambidextrously and through contact.

The added muscle has enabled him to be more prone to attacking, as he has rebuilt his image while subscribing to a regimen that includes a steady diet of weights. Reed’s most unique asset is his spurt-ability, which he was known for in high school and has prolonged in the JUCO process.

When he hits 3-pointers in succession he’s able to transfer that confidence into game altering scoring surges.

A high academic prospect, Reed holds a 4.0 GPA and culminated his high school career with a chock full of advanced level courses.
